 Out of curiosity ... do your donors come back to life in Raiser's Edge?!?!

We've had this problem from time-to-time. Our donors are checked as deceased; then, at some point in time, the check disappears. Our deceased constituents start to show up in mailings. It's rather embarrassing on our end.

We are hosted. Without doing major checks (and that requires knowing dates when people are re-joining us, which is hard to determine), Blackbaud can't pinpoint why this is happening. I thought I would see if others are experiencing this challenge with their data.

 Or, maybe we just have the best supporters in the world (and on the other side)!

     Love the title also.  Post made me laugh - you do have the best donors.  We're not hosted so haven't experienced this.  Hope you get some more replies.

    Ha, disturbing! I've never seen that happen - are you using the Deceased Finder in the Data Health Center? I've never used it, but wondering if it might be clearing those that are manually checked.

    We've just had a different type of Zombie Donor pop. Someone who we were instructed to mark as deceased (by their son) back in July just sent us some mail telling us their new address (which was in this world rather than the next).



    Not quite sure I know how to reverse all that this entails. WIsh me luck.
