Our procedure is to mark the org record as "Inactive" on the Org 1 tab and put in a note that the business has closed.  I like the idea of an attribute.  I'm also interested to know how others mark their records.  Thanks!

A "deceased" field would be nice (maybe you could put it in as a suggestion on the Discovery page).

I've stuck with marking them  on the Org 1 tab as "inactive" and  check"No valid Address" as that is so easy to filter out/in when querying.  I suppose I could go to the address tab and uncheck the send mail box, but it's just easier to check no address. I make a notation right on the Org 1 Tab Note box that they are no longer in business or whatever the known details are. .

This has worked for me.  I think I would forget to include an attribute to exclude the records too often.  [:O]

I make it really obvious by adding - OUT OF BUSINESS  or - CLOSED in the Org Name field and/or the first line of the Address field.  Along with a No Mail, No Email solicit codes, and marking address invalid and do not send.

Another option would be to put a pop up annotation but that is only good for those that open up the record.  For query and export you need something that screams when you are scanning records is my belief.  [:)]
