Lutheran Social Services of South Central Pennsylvania located in York, PA is now hiring a Database Coordinator for our Foundation.

Lutheran Social Services of South Central Pennsylvania provides residential living, personal care, skilled nursing and rehabilitation services in six senior living communities; home healthcare, home health telemonitoring, in-home support services and hospice care; a community-based program that allows skilled nursing-eligible seniors to remain living in their homes; and a range of community outreach services, including a Health, Education and Life Enrichment Program (H.E.L.P.) Center, case management, counseling services, financial literacy programs, deaf and hard of hearing services, domestic violence/abuse intervention and several volunteer-based assistance programs.

Basic Qualifications

Education/Training: A high school diploma or equivalent is required; Associates Degree in related field of study preferred.

Skill(s): Speaks and understands English; proficient reading, writing, grammar, and mathematics skills; proficient interpersonal relations and communication skills; proficient PC skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Raiser's Edge; and valid driver's license.

Experience: A minimum of two (2) years' experience in related positions normally required.

General Responsibilities

Skills: Responsible for performing various office and clerical duties for the department; coordinating work within the department, as well as with other departments; assists in ensuring optimal use of database functionality; reporting pertinent information to the immediate supervisor; responding to inquiries or requests for information.

Essential Duties

    1. Supports the mission and values of Lutheran Social Services of South Central Pennsylvania which is: Lutheran Social Services of South Central Pennsylvania, witnessing to the Gospel of Jesus Christ, provides exceptional health, human, and senior living services by supporting persons in achieving an optimal quality of life.

     

    2. Interacts with residents, clients, staff, and the general public in ways that demonstrate the agency's commitment to courtesy, service, and hospitality befitting a church related organization.

    3. Ensures the optimal use of database functionality to support the LSS Foundation's goals.

    a.  Maintain database integrity and provide quality control.

    b. Investigate and resolve data and reporting inconsistencies.

    c. Assists in generating reports, organizing, and summarizing data.

    d. Works collaboratively with the Operations Manager to provide reporting and required information to ensure the database is used to its full capacity.

    4. Performs various office and clerical duties for the department as illustrated by the following:

    a. Maintains records in the computer of all gifts received by the Foundation.

     

    b. Prepares standard and special gift acknowledgements as appropriate.

    c. Creates required hard-copy documentation of gift transactions.

    d. Creates and updates donor profiles in Raiser's Edge program.

    e. Prepares routine gift reports and mailing lists, i.e., Excel Batch Reports, Monthly Gifts Report, and other reports as requested.

    g. Assists with vendors for the production/printing of invitations, programs, appeals, etc.

    h. Monitors and replenishes bulk mail account.

    i. Attends and assists with special events as requested.

    j. Prepares and disseminates LSS United Way applications to York and Adams County agencies.

    k. Attends required in-services and training.

    5. Accurately records time worked or not worked as illustrated by the following:

    a. Accurately records time in and out at the start and end of each shift and at the start and end of each meal break utilizing the Agency's timekeeping system.

    b. Makes corrections to the timekeeping system, as necessary, on appropriate forms within the required payroll timeframe.

    6. Coordinates specific work tasks with other personnel within the department as well as with other departments in order to ensure the smooth and efficient flow of information.

    7. Abides by the current laws and organizational policies and procedures designed and implemented to promote an environment which is free of sexual harassment and other forms of illegal discriminatory behavior in the work place.

    8. Cooperates with, participates in, and supports the adherence to all Agency standards, procedures, and practices in support of risk management and overall safety and soundness and compliance with all regulatory requirements, i.e., HIPAA, OSHA, etc.

    9. Abides by and supports the organization's code of conduct by exhibiting behavior that is set forth in the code of conduct.  Performs duties in accordance with the code of conduct and completes annual compliance training.

    10. Reports pertinent information to the immediate supervisor as requested, or according to an established schedule; compiles information as necessary or as directed and provides data to appropriate personnel.

    11. Responds to inquiries relating to his/her particular area, or to requests from customers, other personnel, etc., within given timeframes and within established policy.
