Constituent Appeal

Options

Hello,

We have always used the Constituent Appeal Tab for Direct Mail tracking only. Lately, it has been requested that I add non-direct mail appeals on that tab (selected donors invited to wall signings and other events or donors who were sent special pins, etc.) We do not have the Events module so we have always kept track of that information on the actions tab. I would like to get an idea of what others use the Appeal Tab for besides Direct Mail so we can implement some best practices here if needed.

Thank you,

Amanda

So far our use of Appeal is all direct mail not to say we wouldn't consider something else.  We do not have the events module.  Is there a reason that recording invitations to events as actions no longer works for you?  Don't think I'd record pin recipients as an appeal - for me that would be an action.  I'm sort of a proponent of making RE work for the org.  If there's a solid reason to change to appeal I'd consider it.  Not sure what benefit there would be over action though.

    Just my 2 cents...
