Tweeking Fund Goal Summary Report for Annual Giving Reporting in Raiser's Edge

Options

I would like to use the Fund Goal Summary report as a 1 stop report for annual giving/membership, but because it pulls from the Gift Date, the donor count is off. Donors who give multiple gifts within the specified date range pull multiple times. I'd prefer to use "renewed on" and "joined on" dates for this report to get an accurate snapshot of funds raised AND donors. Is this possible?

Not that I know of -- you'd have to recreate it via a custom report of some kind. The canned reports aren't really tweakable by the end user in any real way.

That's what I was afraid of. Thanks for your reply! However, as a new user, creating a custom report is not an easy task. :/

Kiley - How many funds are you reporting out on?  If you are actually reporting out on only several funds, you can get the data on the amount that the donors gave and the actual number of donors to one fund at a time through other types of reports.

    As an example:

    • In Financial Reports, create a Gift Summary Report.

    • In the Filter, select your fund and in Gift Types, choose the type of gifts you want to count.

    • This report will give you a gift count, the number of donors and the grand totals.

    • So (in my sample report) for my selected fund, I have 118 gifts from a total of 113 donors and the total amount is $54,195.08.

This might give you everything you need EXCEPT what your goal was for that fund -- but you might be able to easily marry that information together?

Or use the fund goal summary for your other data, and just use these other reports to get your actual donor count?
