RE and FE users - GIK input into FE

in Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT®: General Discussion

I'm hoping to how those orgs who own both Raiser's Edge and Financial Edge get their GIK data into Financial Edge.  If you would please respond to this thread, letting me know your method.

 1) Capture the GIK info either as a written record or in a spreadsheet and then either manually enter them or import them into FE (not posted from RE)

 2) Capture the GIK using RE and then post them from RE to FE.

    With rare exceptions, we do not post our GIK entries from RE into FE.

     We add the gift in RE, but per Finance Director's request we do not post them. He just has me run a report every so often so he knows where we are at and the estimated value.

    We use a different Gift Subtype that has a unique GL account code.
