Amending sponsorship donations for partial eligibility for Gift Aid

Sometimes sponsorship forms are received weeks later than the donation is received and keyed to the Raiser's Edge, often after the gifts have been marked as posted to NL.  I think it would be useful if future versions of the Raiser's Edge included the ability to use the split gift option on amending the donation to not just split by Appeal/Fund/campaign but also by Gift Aid status as the original Appeal/Fund/Campaign will in this case be the same, the only thing differentiating the different parts of the donation are the Gift Aid status.
