PlannedGiftTracker

Options

We recently purchased the RE PlannedGiftTracker and I was interested in knowing how to apply and/or track a Planned Giving Prospect (a constituent that has not made a commitment monetarily, but has indicated they will be leaving our organization in their Will). Can and/or should this Prospect be tracked in the PlannedGiftTracker or should this be an Attribute in their record?

Thank you

Dave

    Hi Dave,

If your organization has the optional RE:Search/Prospect Module, the Prospect Tab has a field for Classification.  This is located on the Prospect Tab's General Section near the top.  You could create a Classification 'Planned Giving Prospect' if that is the main focus of your cultivation efforts for this constituent.

If your organization doesn't have this optional module, a constituent attribute is a great way to track it.  If this is a large group of people, a constituency code might be preferable as they can be simpler to work with and very easy to report on.
