Donation API with Single Sign On

With the single sign on API, when I authenticate a user in the Convio as Client method (http://open.convio.com/api/#main.sso_convio_as_client.html) so that the users browser has a Convio authenticated session cookie binding their session to their constituent record - does the donation API respect this session cookie and forcefully use that constituent as the donor no matter what the email address is that I provide via the donation API?

    I'll go ahead and answer this question - no it does not work. This makes the donation API very brittle as there is no way to tell the API what constituent is donating. Our use cases for flowing donations through Convio just dropped significantly for our organization as we are unable to write custom apps that Convio should trust us to tell them what constituent is making the transaction.
