Help with teamraiser

Hi - we have just set up teamraiser for our Walk for Hospice. We are waiting for the merhcant account to become active. I'm looking for any suggestions, ideas, comments on any steps that we need to take to go live (or after we go live). For example - What was your e-mail strategy to notify people about the online registration - when and who did you send e-mails to? Did you e-mail Captains of teams to offer encouragement? Any process as how to enter offline gifts, etc. Process to review updated web sites on a regular basis? Hope this makes sense. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
