Using Teamraiser for a Holiday Promotion

I'd get cracking really soon. Three weeks is not a lot of time to set up, design and roll-out a complete teamraiser.

 

You have a page wrapper, stationary, content, autoresponders, milestones, and so on to deal with. And once its all built you probably have to start with a participant drive before fundraising even begins.

 

That said (we haven't done this of course, being a hospital) but I think TR would be perfect. You have a cause, an event date and a goal.

 

I'd set up your milestones to match each adoption cost.

 

$200 = You saved one pet!

$400 = You saved two pets!

$600 = You saved three pets!

etc.

 

 

I think Brian's feedback is right on. Deb... I think what you could do is setup a very simple TR event. The question/challenge: do you want the animals to be the "participant" or do you want people to create their own pages and raise money? I could see you doing it where you went in and created a participant page for each animal and then ask donors to support one of the animals. This really isn't using the power of P2P though since the dogs won't be sending emails and posting links. NOW... that could be a creative angle if you setup pages for animals and maybe even a Facebook and/or Twitter account for some animals. This would take a lot of time to push through and market though. 

Here's what I'd do....

I'd setup a "Team" for each animal and then ask your constituents to join a team and then raise money for that animal/team. This would engage the P2P element.
