Report for Gifts 24h prior to event

Forgive me if that has been answered before. I have request to pull reports for gifts received in the last 24 hours before an event. Is something like this possible or would it make more sense to do a gift report and slice it based on the gift date?

    You would still run your entire Donation by Transaction report but then you could export it and then filter it by date and time. If you run the report through Report Writer then you can set a filter to only include gifts on the two days prior to the event. You couldn't get it by "hours" but you could by "days."
