We have a solid draft of our fundraising appeals (with word counts strictly staying within the guidelines set by the Convio Booster Shot template!). I threw in photos to round out the documents, but trust me that they will look better on the web. I am eager to get feedback on what we've written. Our team feels like we are very close to a finished product. And, barring any unforseen PR emergency, there WILL be staff from Children's National on the call tomorrow. (Sorry about last time. It couldn't be helped.)

    OK, the YWCA inspired us a bit. We're working on strengthening this language on our first email. Replace what we have on this:

    It doesn’t take much to make a difference:

    • $25 provides a patient with a package of UNO cards, the most-requested game this holiday
    • $50 can help keep a child in the hospital entertained with DVDs or video games
    • $100 covers the cost of a soft and cozy “nest” specially made for the tiniest preemies
