Customizing the Welcome Message

We are a bit different than most Convio clients in that our goal is not to ask for donations. In fact, we don't have that capability set up. Instead, we're using Convio to build relationships and track interactions. And so, we do not want the big DONATE NOW button. Can we take that off? What we would rather do, is move the tell a friend button up int he sidebar and then insert icons for our social media presences. Can we do that and where do I indicate that in the paperwork?

Also, I know that you can customize the color of the footer, but can we create our own footer banner (while keeping the Convio) logo? We would like to brand that footer like we do our sites (with our parent ministry logo and info).

    Hey Todd,

    That's just fine - we can remove the Donate button. When you submit your guide, if you could just place those specific instructions at the end of the document (there is a place for additional instructions) then our production team will know to not include the Donate and instead to just include Tell A Friend and the social media feature.

    Regarding the footer, this should be OK. Do you already have a stationery in Convio that is branded with the footer you would like to use for the Welcome Series? If so, we can just repurpose that in the Welcome Series. If you do not already have a stationery with that footer, can you send some additional instructions and images when you submit the guide so we can take a look?

    We do not have a stationary, so we will be doing everything from scratch. I will include instructions for all of our customization and a footer graphic. Actaully, that brings up another question. Do ALL graphics have to be in by tomorrow? Or can we have leeway on graphics since they will not be need immeaditely in the process? I didn't see anything on that in the guide...

    The only graphics we need from you are your icons, your feature photo and the photo you want in the header. Yes, we need all of that by tomorrow. Taylor and I have to assimilate all of the materials next week and make sure everyone has delivered all of the assets so we can send it all to the production team at one time. Please let us know if you're going to have any problems with getting your images to us along with your guide.

    Sure thing! Yes, please submit your graphics when you submit the guide tomorrow. We will need the graphics to turn in to our production team when we submit the guide for them to build out the message and stationery. We will have a round of revisions after sending the initial test messages to you. So, if you have a graphic update and we need to replace one graphic with another, we can do that while making revisions. Because this is a short service module we really need to stick to our submission deadlines.

    We'll take a look at the graphics and customizations instructions when you send those along the guide and if we have any questions or the footer customization will not fit well with the template, we will reach out to you.

    Gotcha. I wondered if you meant social media icons. I will send those.

    If we do a custom footer image, what would the dimensions of that need to be? We would retain the convio icon in it.
