Group of people who have ever taken an action through an alert

Options

I'm trying to figure out how to create a group which would include anyone who has ever taken an action using the convio advocacy alert. I would like the group to rebuild periodically as well.

  • I don't think there is a simple way to capture "all advocates." I think there is a group created per action, and you can create a query (and a group from that query) which includes all those groups created by each action. Which seems a little painful actually.

Another thing to look at (which we haven't explored yet ourselves, but that you can create a query around) is Engagement Factors. There are 10 slots which you can decide what the engagement factor is. I'm not 100% sure what the parameters of an engagement factor can (or how to set them up), but there are some details in Help.

Finally, you could also create a report that looks at interaction details, and (I think) create a report that contains everyone who has taken an action. You can run the report every once in a while, and add the report results to a group of your creation.

I asked Convio Support a similar question back in March. They created a report in Report Writer. It uses Constituent Interaction Counts, and the filters are Status = Active, Accept Email is True, Email Status is Good and Lifetime Alert Response Count is >= 1. Each line in the report is one constituent. It displays the number constituents have taken over their lifetime in Convio.

  • Hi Liz - I think there is a pretty simple way to do this. You could create a Query that queries on Transaction Information --> Lifetime Alert Response Count. When configuring this, choose "greater than or equal to" and enter "1". Then save and run your query - you can then click "Use Query" to create a Group and set the Group to rebuild weekly or however often you'd like this group to be refreshed. Hope that helps.
