How do I add an option for Mr. and Mrs. in the title field

I have profiles in which husbands and wives share the same email address and I need to refer to them by their title and last name; therefore, I want to refer to them by Mr. and Mrs. last name. How do I add Mr. and Mrs. in the title field?

From my experience...

Short answer: You can't.

Long answer: Ask Convio to add it manually. However, your list of titles may differ from application to application (donations, pages, advocacy) when you use those fields.

Workaround: Write some JavaScript to automatically add your custom title option to the title select fields of any page onload, then stick the script in your wrapper. The system records these fine.

This seems like something that really should be a user-editable option.

Hey Katie,

Yes this title can be added to the system you will have to file a support ticket to get this accomplished. The issue that was brought up that it may not match on advocacy is true and this is because the advocacy information must match the titles allowed by congressional web forms. If we allowed titles that these forms don't allow it would prevent the constituent's submission from getting to their legislators.
