how do I query based on a users first advocacy alert response?

Options

Hi, I've been trying to figure out a way to find all the new accounts that have been created because of an initial interaction of responding to a certain advocacy alert, but I've become stuck. I can't find any helpful documentation anywhere on this. Does anyone know how to address this? I've tried playing around in the Custom Reports, but haven't been able to figure it out there either.

Thanks in advance to anyone who can help.

  • I'm not a 100% certain, not having done it, but I think you can run a query looking for people whose origin source code is (or contains) that advocacy alert. You'd have to make sure how the alert appears as the origin source code.

You can create a Query to check for Origin Application Type = Advocacy Response, but that will include anyone whose constituent record was created after responding to any action alert. If you've setup the specific action alert with a specific Origin Source Code, you could create a Query looking for that value. Otherwise, there may not be any way to do what you're describing. The best you could do would be to create a Query that checks that Origin Application Type = Advocacy Response, that the constituent is a member of the group associated with the action alert, and that Creation Time is after the date the alert was published.
