'Volunteer - General' Mass Data Deletion/Global Delete

Options

Hi, all!

We have decided to abandon using the Volunteer module in RE entirely, for various reasons. I have managed to delete all the Job Assignments, but I can't figure out how to globally delete the data on the General screen. Below is an example of the data I'd like to delete en masse. These three rows of data should be entirely gone. I figured out using Global Delete how to delete the Volunteer Type, but that leaves the row of data with Volunteer Type null (SUPER USEFUL!). Any other ideas would be appreciated!

  • @Amelia Ketzle - I recommend deleting out this data through an import; if you use the ^ symbol in place of data the system interrupts that as a blank field.

@Austen Brown - I was actually trying that probably as you were typing your response. It seems that's not an option, as the Import file I need to use to update those data fields doesn't allow 'Update existing records' as an option. ?

  • @Amelia Ketzle - That is very frustrating! It looks like Knowledgebase may have a solution for you though… through a Global Change:

  • @Austen Brown - Thank you, but it sounds like that solution will leave the rows of data there, just with null Type and Status. I'm looking to delete the entire row of data, and that kb article says there's no way to do that. ? Thank you, though!
