Hello!

I'm wondering if anyone can help with a strange error that I'm experiencing, on both Raiser's Edge NXT and Raiser's Edge database view.

I recently created a new campaign with (what I think is?) a unique name and set the start date of the campaign as 5-1-2022.

Somehow gifts as far back as 1984, are linking to this campaign, even with the start date I specified. Has anyone ever experienced this?

    @Maria Felski is a weird old fund set up in the gift defaults? Or appeal? I can't quite think of what would cause this. Sounds like time for a support chat! ?

    Before the time to contact support as they will ask this too. Look at Records > Campaigns. Click open a campaign. In campaign description put in part of your campaign name with * before and after. Then do a search for the Campaign ID same way. It could be you have the same ID. Or check the box to display inactive and look for the name you think is unique

    @JoAnn Strommen - that is a great suggestion on searching using the * wildcard before and after, I wouldn't have that about using the wildcard after. I hope this may help @Maria Felski find the issue.

    Hi JoAnn, I confirmed with the asterix trick that my Campaign is the only one with the title I created, whether active or inactive. Do you think it is possible that someone created the same campaign name years ago and then deleted it (as opposed to making it inactive)? Perhaps this could cause an old campaign to look like mine…

    @Barbara Kunkel Did you check for the campaign ID, too?

    If campaign was on any records, users should not have been able to delete it. If they did delete it and it's not used anywhere, I don't know why you'd be getting the error message. ?
