Have you learned any more about this? Just curious. It strikes me though... I wonder if what they really meant to say was that they could put your site's page wrapper around their application (the same way Convio can, for example) rather than actually embedding their application right into YOUR site. That would be very interesting, though, if true. It would mean their site is effectively a giant widget... That either means a boat load of work on your side doing server-side integration to handle the data feeds, or it means their application is wholly client-side using Flash or JavaScript, which is cool for sure, but maybe not appropriate unless your general audience is used to such things. My org, for example, gets thousands of applications a month and many of them come from overseas folks who have old computers and generally low bandwidth, so such an application while very neat wouldn't be appropriate at all.

I suspect, though, that its really that they can take your template and put it around their hosted application to make it look just like your site. We finally managed to get our HR department to dump the vendor they were using for online job search/applications because it DIDN'T do that sort of thing (it wasn't that good anyway, but my concern is the user experience not whether it's handy for HR....), the new one does that.

To save time and money, we just decided to link to it. It seems to be working. And our HR department is overworked. They needed a way to streamline incoming applications. Doing it on our site with our form made too much work for them. I understand that, because Marketing is a support department, too. We non-revenue producing departments have to focus on efficiency so more of our funds go to helping people.
