Convio 5.3.50 upgrade--Customizing Receipts

With the Convio 5.3.50 upgrade is there a way we can customize our PDF receipts (self service) for ecommerce products, like adding our logo?

  • There certainly is - it's called Receipt Manager, and provides quite a bit of control with PDF receipts. The basic premise behind it is that you create a PDF that has embedded form fields in it (similar to the tax forms you might download from the IRS). The way you name those form fields tell the Convio system what data to populate into the form when it creates the receipt. The

    To get started with using Receipt Manager, please open a support ticket in the Convio Support Desk and one of our Support Analysts can assist you by turning on the Receipt Manager functionality so that you can begin uploading the templates and configuring where those templates should be used. Once you have your new PDF Receipt(s) uploaded, Convio Support can then switch the site over to using those new receipts.

    I contacted support and they gave me the standard template for the PDF receipts. Is there any way I can just add our logo to the top of the standard template without having to recreate the whole thing?

  • Well, it certainly isn't as simple as sdavis makes it appear to be. Our VA is working hard to help us customize our PDF receipt (really just putting our logo and address), but apparently the VA team is very limited in what they can do on this front. After many hours of effort, it is clear that we're back to Square 1--i.e. the standard Convio receipt without any information about our organization. It is basically useless as is.

    Does anyone have suggestions on a company who can figure out how to work with PDF forms under the constraints that Convio imposes in its receipt manager function? I'd love to hear what other people have done. This is really frustrating!
