Has anyone had any success in installing a forum on your convio-hosted website? Please help! Thanks.

    Hey Cassandra,

    I don't think there is a forum you can install on the convio hosted website. Convio does have some partners for doing communities, but even those would be on a separate server.

    There are of course other vendors too -- the vender that Convio uses for this forum, for instance, is Jive Software's Clearspace.

    If you had another server, there are a lot of open-source PHP-based forums.

    Hi Cassandra,

    Convio partners with a company called ThePort (www.theport.com) to provide social networking functionality. One of the packages they offer is Blogs and Forums. Your account manager can give you more details and help you get in contact with ThePort.

    It's 2010 now - were you able to add a forum? Is there a new Convio partner for adding a forum to our site?

    I wan't able to find one (free) that could be installed actually on the site, I ended up creating a redirect to a general forum website.  I'd still like to add our own forum if anyone has any new information.
