Donation Service Center Enhancement Request

Yesterday, I submitted an enhancement request asking for the ability for donors (via self-service or admin support) to set and/or modify the day their donation is being charged. As it stands, donations are charged on the day they make the gift, and that's the day it happens in cycle every time. If they wanted it on the 1st, they'd have to do the gift on the first, if they want it changed, they have to cancel and restart it on the 1st.. etc. It's a request we get very often, so I put in the request. Turns out, it's nothing new (of course it's not) and there is already a FR in place. It's rated "Medium" priority and there is no release date.

I urge anyone who collects recurring donations, even if you don't let your donors have access to the self-service tools themselves, to contact their Account Managers and mention this as something you'd like:

FR-13039:

*The Sustaining Giving Self-Service center does not allow users to change the date of their payment. In order to change the date, the sustaining gift has to be canceled and re-entered. The existing self-service center allows users skip a payment and cancel a payment, but not change the date of a payment. *

*Allowing users or administrators to change the date would give more flexibility for the user without the risk of losing the donor by cancelling and asking the donor to re-enter their information. *

Myra's notes- this kind of flexibility would make sense, and I would be interested in understanding how common a request to change a payment date is from constituents. This would help prioritize this change.
