Possible to take off "Select a Gift Duration" drop-down?

When donors are signing up as sustainers, is there a way to take off the "select a gift duration" element entirely? We've made it optional for people to select anything at all. But can we sign them up as monthly donors with no end date until they cancel?

    It's required to have the gift duration on the form and transaction summary. You can change the language of the gift duration from the default "Forever" to something else like "Ongoing" or "No End Date" via the Message Catalog Editor (support may have to do this for you, you can submit a support ticket if so).
