How do I edit sidebar text in E-newsletter stationery?

Options

The sidebar on our e-newsletter template, which has three feature article teasers with links, appears to be embedded as an image in the stationery rather than being editable HTML within the Email message itself. There doesn't seem to be a way to edit the text when in the HTML editing area for that particular message, but I can't figure out how to find and grab the image to edit it within the Stationery section. What am I missing?

  • Hello. Are you sure it's an image that is embedded and not a reusable component? I'm just curious, 'cause the reus piece won't be editable in the stationary editor.. you'll have to go find it through PageBuilder and edit it there.

If it is indeed an image, you should be able to see what it's image number is in the source code (which will help identify it when you search for it in the Image Library). Once you locate it in the image library, you can preview the image at it's full size and grab it from there. Then you'll simply have to either redo that part of the stationary in html, or edit the grabbed image to alter the text in photoshop or other graphic software... and then re-import it into the Convio Image Library.

Another possible issue is that the image might be being pulled in via css as a background to that area. Do you see any styles (step 2 in the left nav in the stationary editor)? You can look for the path to the image there too.

    I hope this helps!

Thanks so much for your thoughtful response! As you suggested, it is a reusable component. Once you mentioned it I poked around in PageBuilder and found it. That was my problem -- I have never used PageBuilder before, just StoryBuilder and the email campaign templates, and I didn't know I needed to use it for our enewsletter. Thanks again!
