Access to RE database view.

A week ago Friday two of us in the office lost access to our database. We can get into NXT but not the database view. The link seems to be that we both downloaded a Citrix upgrade that week that may have corrupted something. We can't even uninstall Citrix to install a newer version. The engineers are trying to come up with a fix for us but so far no joy. Did this happen to anyone else?

  • Cathy, this is probably an obvious question, but have your IT staff assisted? Your local IT should be able to uninstall any previous Citrix versions on your local PC.

  • It's possible your passwords do not meet all system requirements. If you have recently been moved to logging in via webview/blackbaud ID and were using an old password which is too short or does not meet other requirements, you would eventually lose database view access.

    Also, check with your database security admin.

    @Faith Murray has a good answer also. If your IT Staff does not include the database admin (I am an admin but not in IT), it is possible that only they can download any software to your computer.
