    Hi Linton,

The Summer '09 Release Notes will be available on the Customer Center early next week. That is, the week of July 13th. There is now a placeholder link on the Customer Center homepage which will be updated as soon as the Release Notes are published.

    Thanks,

    Melissa

  • I have 2 questions about the new WYSIWYG editor in the latest summer release that I didn't get answered after watching the WYSIWYG upgrade training video...

    1. With the new WYSIWYG editor, can you still do conditionalized content within other conditionalized content like you were able to do before?

    2. Since I have several areas on my site that have reusable pages nested in DIV tags, with the new WYSIWYG editor still preserve the correct look of that page within the DIV tags? I know that if i viewed content in the old WYSIWYG editor, it would "correct it for me"/take out the DIV tags and I had to edit in HTML made to correctly edit the page. So basically, how does the new editor work with DIV tags and other content in nested areas?

Any ideas? I can assume that you cna do most things as before, but I want to make sure before upgrading my team to the new editor.

    Hey there,

    1) You certainly will be able to nest conditionals within conditionals in the new WYSIWYG. We like to think we've actually made that process a little more intuitive than it was before.

    2) The new WYSIWYG is XHTML-aware, unlike the old one. It will be more respectful of div tags than WYSIWYGs have been in the past. However, it's still worth mentioning that any WYSIWYG will reformat the HTML in order to suit its internal logic. If you have pages that you have hand-coded, remember to check their HTML source manually before saving, when editing them in any WYSIWYG editor.

Good to know James. Thanks for the reply and I am excited about this new release with the WYSIWYG editor.
