Receipt for email opt-out constituents

If someone donates online, but indicates that they do not want to receive email, do they still get the auto-responder thank you message and receipt? If not, how is this handled?

    Yes -- even if someone opts out of receiving email, they will still receive autoresponders.

    Just to clarify:  This is true for ALL AutoReponders across the whole system, so any autoresponder you set up, from registration to Survey response emails, will be fired off without regard to email opt-in preferences.  And yes, it's totally legal and allowable because they are auto-generate based on a user-initiated action.
