Spell Check Not Available in New WYSIWYG

Since I began using the new version of the WYSIWYG, I have not been able to Spellcheck anything. I don't see an icon anywhere in the toolbars or dropdown menus. I watched the introduction video, but this issue was not mentioned. Has anyone else experienced this issue?

Hi Kendra,

You are correct; I don't think spellcheck is an option in the new WYSIWYG. I've been working in Firefox, which will catch mispelled words in the plain text step, and then returning to the HTML to fix any errors.

Of course, we'd like to see spellcheck implemented!

In addition, we'd like to see a function for <HR> (horizontal rule) & an icon for line break (shift-enter).

Ok, so its not just me that couldn't find it! I checked the help section and the instructions for the new wysiwyg include it as a feature, but the icon is missing. I hope they catch and fix this soon.

Good note on the firefox workaround!! I'll try that for now.

I just got off the phone with Convio Support about another issue we've been having with the WYSIWYG (not being able to merge cells in a table in Internet Explorer), and mentioned the missing spell check. He said it's "coming soon" and that lots of people are requesting it.

Yes, I noticed this too and called the convio support line. After they researched it, they told me it does not exist in this version of the WYSIYG and that it is "under consideration" for the 2010 release. Makes NO sense.

Yes, I too got the same answer. I am flabbergasted that Spell Check wasn't one of the first features they put in..especially since it was ALREADY on the old version. Convio, please fix this ASAP. It is taking me the double the amount of time to update pages, because I have to put all the text into another program to check the spelling.
