Can we use RSS feeds to create different PR feeds for our pages?

Options

Currently we have a general feed through a reusable component in Convio that pulls all Press Releases automatically so we can list the most recent on our media page. In addition to this we would like to somehow assign each press release to a different program category and have that list of press releases show up on the media page for that program. Is that possible? Can we use RSS feeds for this? Any advice or help would be much appreciated.

  • Are you only trying to render this list of articles inside a Convio-powered page, e.g. a PageBuilder page? The S32 tag or the "StoryBuilder Headline" component in PageBuilder allows you to filter based on security category or interest category, so you could use either of those to seperate different kinds of articles.

Yes, it would only be within the system. We do currently use the security category to assign storybuilder and pagebuilder pages for an S-tag that corresponds to our navigation so maybe I can also assign an interest and try the S-tag for the press articles that way as well?

Definitely! Try creating a Web Interest for each of your programs, then applying that Interest to each programs' StoryBuilder articles, and filtering the list on that Interest.

The only problem with that is that I got it a little wrong. The security category is how we assign the wrapper and the interest is how we assign the s-tag for the navigation. Thanks for all your input but I'm not sure this one is possible since I can't assign a sub-interest category to one page.
