Event Forms + Addressee/Salutation

I cannot figure out how to assign an Addressee and Salutations to our Forms in the Events module. Please help!

    Brooke, not sure exactly where you are to create forms, but based on experience with other reports the name formats is on the format tab of the report set up.  Name Formats>Individual and then select from individual (or from config) and use drop down to make your selection.


    If no one else with more experience in Event Module replies, give me some more info one where you're at in RE to create these forms.

    Brooke DennisLister‍ are you hoping to add addressee / salutation to the registration form for an event, or some other sort of form?  "Form" usually means "donation form" or "event registration form" on the website.


    If you can explain what you mean by "forms in the event module", I think that would help us all help you!

  • First, thank you. Second, my apologies for not being more specific. 


    I am using the RE Events module in the database view and web view. We set up events, people can register, etc. But if the person is a new constituent, a record is created for them when they register. My organization prefers to have an Addressee and Salutation for every constituent. Is there a way to assign one of our formatted Add/Sal to the event forms in RE when a new constituent is created through the events module? 

    We use the RE forms for events and donations (which include new memberships). 


    I hope that was more clear, but forgive me if it was not. =)

    That does help, Brooke!  One more question - are people signing up using an online form in web view?  It sounds like they are, because you said that a record is created for them if they are new, and webview forms will definitely do that.


    I don't know with certainty, but I don't believe that default values can be set for new constituents.  You can make addressee and salutation required fields (Control Panel | Fields and Tables) but I don't know how that will work when new constituents are added.  I don't have any clients who have been using the webview event registration forms.  Hopefully someone else can help out!
