Screen goes white in Zoom

Options
Hi everyone,

I've been doing a decent amount of training and "show and tell" over the last few months, and my trainees often have to interrupt to let me know my screen share has gone white.
  • I do select "share screen" when starting up, as opposed to "share window".
  • It only happens when I'm in database view
  • It seems to happen when I switch back and forth between sections of the database.  For example, we look at a constituent record, then close that and switch to Query.
  • It doesn't seem to help if I stop sharing and then start again - we've always had to all leave the Zoom meeting and then log right back in to it.
  • I know Zoom is updated to the most recent version, and I do use the desktop version and not the web-based version.
Has anyone else experienced this?  Any suggestions on how to fix it?

Thanks!

Karen

  • We just had this happen during a Powerpoint presentation on a Zoom call, some individual attendees said the screen went white but those of us in a group at the office could still see the slide. The offsite presenter went back to the beginning of the slideshow and fast-forwarded to the problem slide, which was then visible to all attendees upon revisiting. I think Zoom just doesn't want to play nice with older technology sometimes!
