How do I make a static image show if no Flash player is detected?

Are you using the SWFObject script?

That script replaces the html inside of the target DIV with the code for presenting your flash banner. That means that you can put something inside of that target DIV to display if the user doesn't have Flash or Javascript.

In your case just put your IMG in that div rather than the text.

I believe this method you are using is called the twice-cooked method.

"The twice-cooked method is redundant, makes your web pages invalid, and doesn’t include a mechanism for inserting alternative content. And the  only reason it’s easy to use is because the Flash IDE generates it: don’t ask anyone to reproduce it from memory."

I'd go with the SWFObject method. Convio uses JavaScript all over the place, so if visitors don't have that plenty of other things will break too. (Requiring JS is this method's down side.)

Put this line in your HTMLHead. You could do that right in the wrapper if you want.

This goes in your page's (or wrapper's) html.
