Hello!  Has anyone created a process for gifting of room and board refunds during this time?  Some families are generously donating their refund back to the college and we would like to make sure we have everything covered.

    If this is something you're looking to track in Raiser's Edge here are some ideas to track it.


    I'm assuming this is a monetary refund. You could either track using gift type = cash or other. I'm inclined to use "other" because it's not a traditional cash gift and it'll be easier to separate it out when reporting on revenue. But you can choose cash or other. Some organizations use a gift subtype, but it's usually not necessary. Whatever you choose, just make sure you document it so you can remember which filter criteria to use when creating queries, exports and reports.
