Recurring payment exception - is the donor notified through RE/online express?

I can't seem to find anything that tells us yes or no on this, when a recurring gift fails, is the donor notified by BBMS or RE or Online Express that a transaction failed?  I believe with Stripe or Paypal if a payment failed the donor was notified.  We don't want to double up on notifying the donor if they already received some type of notification.  We are somewhat new to having exceptions, thank goodness!

    Hi Jennifer Redalen‍ - Other than an e-confirmation confirming that a recurring gift has been created, OLX/RE does not automatically notify donors of a missed/failed payment.  Additionally, recurring gifts are not automated unless you have RE-NXT and have opted into "Automated Processing".  Let me know if you have any questions.
