Can I add a mandatory field (organization represented) in my sign up form for events?

I've added Participant Attributes for Organization Name and Organization Position on a current Event registration form that we have (both are Text data types in RE Configuration/Attributes) - however, I made them Optional fields in case someone attending the event is currently not working for an Organization (retired, unemployed, student, etc.) - if you make it a required field, they won't be able to complete the event payment form before submitting unless they fill out the required field
