Updating Slideshow/Carousel Captions

I started working at an organization about three months ago and have been learning PageBuilder and other Luminate modules to update an existing TeamRaiser website. This website includes a slideshow of five images each of which has a different caption which also includes a link button.


I've figured out how to change the images in the slideshow (by uploading a new image in the image library under the same name/filepath), but I've been trying to edit the the captions and the links in the captions. However, when I make any change, even something as small as changing some of the visible text in the WYSIWYG or in the plain text HTML editor, the whole slideshow stops working and won't rotate past the first image.


Has anyone had similar problems? If I could just remove the captions and let the image itself serve as a clickable link, that would be great. I have minimal HTML or coding knowledge, but even the very, very basic editing I've been doing completely shuts down the functionality of the carousel in a disproportionate way. Is there any way to easily update these captions/links?

    I've found the easiest way to change images on a slideshow is to identify the name of the image in the slideshow, go into the image library and upload a new image in place of the old one.
