Best Practice for Recording Participant Response for Export Report

Hi everyone,


I wonder if you could lend me your thoughts please on recording participant response in the event module.


I'm trying to set-up a report template, which will be run on weekly basis, using Export for an upcoming event for reviewing and planning purposes. The report will output all the guests and responses, but the most important part is outputting the number of participants per household and identifying who's attending (e.g. husband and/or wife).


I was hoping to use Registration Fees tab to record the number of participants for this, and use Status field to mark Male and Female or Male only or Female only to output specific criteria in my report. I'm not sure if this is a good practice, as the fields I mentioned are not designed for this purpose - however, it's the only way I thought of to report the response without having to export both records. I would greatly appreciate it if you could give me your input in this matter.
