Is there a way to export whether a constituent has a valid Gift Aid declaration?

Does anyone know if there is a way to simply export whether a constituent has a valid Gift Aid declaration or not?


Many of our constituents have several declarations on their records, some with end dates, some with open end dates (and hence "active").  I know I could either i) query/globally add attributes to those with active declarations and then export the attribute or ii) export all declarations and do some jiggery-pokery in Excel to work out whether active or not, but I just wanted to check I'm not missing anything obvious...

    Yep, agree you can find "open" declarations using query, but I'm trying to be lazy efficient and outputting whether a constituent has an active Gift Aid declaration via an export...I've gone with the "add a tag attribute" to the records, so I can put my feet up and just export (after a bit of global add admin).

    What's the maintenance for that like? Is it just changing the attribute when Gift Aid can no longer be claimed immediately or more like a weekly/monthly check?

    Hi Rachel


    We're using it on an ad-hoc basis i.e. as and when we need to export the information (which isn't often).  We date the attribute, so that we can i) export the current situation and ii) also track changes over time.


    The query stays the same (i.e. "is there a valid Gift Aid declaration") - so it is just a matter of running a Global Add of a the constituent attribute tag, which doesn't take long as it is only adding to those with a valid declaration (in our case, ~4000 records)
