Anyone having trouble importing information from Luminate Online into RENXT using ImportOmatic?

Options
We just converted to RENXT from Banner last November and we use LO and ImportOmatic for our donation pages.  It seems like every time I try to import into RE I get an error and have to contact LO or ImportOmatic to help me fix it.  Anyone else having issues?

  • We are currently working on the same thing (using LO for our giving and ImportOmatic to import the data in our RE database). I don't have feedback for you, as we are not currently in production yet...however, I am very interested to hear from someone who is, and what their issues are!
  • I am interested too in seeing what issues, if any, that others re having.
  • What kind of errors are you getting and on what profiles?

We are using IOM and LO and it has been great. We are using old school RE 7.96 and LO.

    Thanks,

  • We are using a flexible sustainers donation page that we created in LO - it has the option for split gifts, recurring gifts, one time gifts, many different gift designations, as well as tribute gifts, and a way to see if your employer matches gifts.  So we have 5 profiles to import gifts, org donations, sustainer donations, donations, tribute creation, and tribute gifts.  We are using RENXT and LO with ImportOmatic and every time I import I seem to get an error.  I have had trouble with the sustainer donations, and org donations, as well as errors from gift designations.  We are working through things and have not had a high volume of online gifts so we have had time to correct things but we are hoping to increase the volume significantly and don't want to keep running into these kinds of errors every time I do an import.

  • Do you all have access in Luminate to look at the error logs? They can be helpful if it is a mapping issue. Usually, those errors are pretty clear.
  • Because we are so new to Luminate and ImportOmatic the error logs cause more confusion, we are still trying to understand how it all works.  Hopefully as we go along it will get easier to interpret those logs and we won''t have to engage support.
  • You can view the error logs and I know they are a little cryptic, but the line numbers should match up.

Once you get an understanding of the error codes you will be able to decipher them more. We had some errors at the beginning and some of it is how the Omatic profile is set up. We definitely tweaked ours after we went live to help reduce the errors.

I know that isn't going to answer your question, but just trying to pass along there is a little learning curve at the beginning.

    Thanks,

    Phil
  • Thanks Phil for the support and encouragement!  I ran a profile today and figured out the errors on my own!
