Deceased Record Finder results and couple-based records.

Hello!  Looking to see how other organizations have handled their deceased record finder results when their constituent records are couple-based. Thanks so much!

  • We specifically sent both Constituents and non-Constituent Spouses, so our results were "clean."

HI John - thank you for the reply!  Do your records have two individuals on them? Or are they split and each person has their own record and unique ID?  Thanks!
  • Non-Constituent Spouses do not have their own Constituent record.  They are just a Relationship record.  We have a mix of both full Constituent and non-Constituent Spouses.

I see.  If the constituent came back as deceased, are your business rules set where a record is created for the spouse relationship record?  This is the first time we have run deceased finder, so we a lot of records to decease. Usually, when it is a one-off record I am deceasing and it's couple-based, I'll edit the record so that the deceased individual is on the spouse tab and the spouse on the bio 1 tab, so that there is not another record created.
  • Because there is such a mix we processed them all individually.  Too much room for error otherwise.
