  • I am responsible for training our fundraising staff on all things Raiser's Edge.  However, they work primarily in NXT (with the exception of our event staff) so most of my training revolves around the evolution of NXT features as well as how to integrate their workflows with NXT instead of using thousands of spreadsheets.
  • Hi! I do training for our RE users...and I'm also responsible for updating our policies and use guidelines, they're due for a refresher, especially with all the changes the implementation of NXT has introduced to our processes.

We do a monthly Here's A Cool Thing ten minute demo at our department meetings, and I am always keeping an eye on the forums here for things to share with the team - either new and fun or something they forgot! I also do quarterly refresher trainings for different topics, based on new processes or features in NXT. I'm hoping so much that the Events section will be live by then, because I desperately need to move my team off the db for those - it's so slow and confusing now that they're used to managing Opportunities and Actions in NXT.

  • I train all of those in my organization.smiley
  • I do all the training (and necessary re-training) at my org.  I'm also responsible for creating/updating P&P manuals though this isn't going so well if I'm being honest.
  • I, too, am responsible for training our folks on RE, as well as implementing new features.

Fun fact: my previous job was as a Blackbaud trainer for Blackbaud support folks and customers on RE and eTapestry. I'm not as well-versed on NXT, but I'm trying to get better acquainted with it. :)
  • I train everyone at my organisation, I also develop new products using the SKY API for my organisation.

Well versed in DB View, Crystal Reports, NXT and SKY API. :)
  • That would be me, although I also try to get folks to take the BB classes, too, so I can focus on training specific to our implementation of RE.

I used to be one of the trainers for our previous database software - every new colleague got a (slightly boring) introductory tutorial for the main areas of the software, with any follow-up done on an ad-hoc basis.

With Raiser's Edge, we're all now in the same boat of having switched over at the same time (in February!) so we all started off with as much (or as little) knowledge as each other. Thankfully, all the videos and web-ex training is really easy to use and very thorough so we've all done the Fundamentals training and then anything else that might be relevant. With our volunteers, we gave them specific training for the tasks they do and in one case, a detailed step-by-step instruction document with pictures for each part to go with it.

All I've had to do lately is answer questions about some of the things my colleagues haven't covered in their training already!

I've been training fellow colleagues through a few different organizations.  I also run a local user group and present training to that group 5-6 times a year.  And, I train others at other area organizations.  It's one of my favorite things to do!
