I'm trying to figure out how we can ask for and capture the size of t-shirt that someone requires only when they purchase this as part of their event registration.


I can easily add another price category for a t-shirt, but then I need to capture the size required only if they have purchased the t-shirt.


Has anyne done this?

    Hi Mark - Unfortunately, OLX cannot do conditionals. The best way I can think for you to accomplish this is to create a gift attribute; associate a list of values with the attribute for the t-shirt sizes S, M, L, XL, etc.  When you add it to an existing OLX donation form, you can edit the display name for the field to a question, "Are you including a t-shirt in your registration? If yes, please choose your prefered shirt size."  It will be up to the user to review this and fill it out; if you made it a required field, that would add complications for those that did not include a t-shirt with their registration.

    As an extension of this question, for our golf tournament, we want to collect:
    • t-shirt sizes
    • golf index/handicap
    • names of others in foursome (if registering as a single golfer)
    • sponsors' logos for tournament signage
      • ideally this would be uploaded at the the time of registering for the event; if not possible, we would want to ask a question along the lines of: Will you provide a logo? Y/N  If no, what is the sponsor name that should appear on tourney signage?
    How would this be built into the system?

    These would also be Gift or Participant Attributes.  If you need the information for all golfers in the group, then I'd recommend instructing your registrants to choose 4 "tickets" and enter the info for each person in the foursome.  I don't believe there is any way for them to upload a document through Online Express directly.  You might be able to include a link to a Dropbox folder or Google Drive folder, though--either in the form, the body of the URL on which it is embedded, or in the email confirmation the registrant receives.

    How can we change an existing attribute for t-shirt sizes? I want to remove children sizes and the yes/no option, but I also want to include bigger sizes. Is this possible?
