Sending follow-up emails to event participants

Is there a way to send follow-up emails to event participants via Online Express without creating a whole new query?  The query type for participant queries is "PARTICIPANT" however, when creating a new email list in OE, the only options for query type are Individual, Organization or Constituent.  We usually always send follow-up emails, reminders, programs, etc. to event participants.  Since a query already exists for registered participants, we should be able to create a new email list in OE from that query.

    Teresa, I'm also looking for an answer to this question.  I can't get the participants into a OXL recognizable query.  They don't show up in a Qlist either b/c not all of them are constituents.  I'm currently thinking I'll need to export them and send out a mail merged from Outlook, super dissappointed b/c I really need this managed in our database.  Please let me know if you hear of other workarounds.

    Thanks ladies, I've been doing workarounds but it is a pain!  Really need for the developers to make participants an option for lists in OLX.

    Search for "participant query" and vote for all the ideas!  There's one for being able to use imported lists (BBOX-I-598) and then a few for being able to use a participant query.  BBOX-I-415, BBOX-I-838, BBOX-I-586, BBOX-I-665, BBOX-I-239, and BBOX-I-513.  Jarod Bonino‍ perhaps these ideas could be merged?
