Cash and pledges from prior years for a certain Constituent Code

I need to know the total cash and pledges during 7/1/17-4/9/18 for current parents who are mostly parent of alumni now but some being current parents still. Can anyone tell me the best way to retrieve this information?

    How easy it will be for you to pull this data will depend on how you record/enter your data.  You can use a constituent query > summary info > gifts total amount using the date range and gift type criteria you mentioned (fund if needed too).  But you will need tp include other criteria to filter just to those parents. 


    Did you use gift constituency on the gift records than you can filter to?  Did you use a gift code?  Do you use constituency codes with date info to and from that would identify them as parents during that time frame.  I.E. how is it recorded on their record or gift that they were a current parent for that time frame?
