Are Blackbaud Developers Working on Adding Fund Attributes from Raiser's Edge to Sky Reporting?

I posted earlier about this. Another customer did as well and neither of us have received any feedback on this topic. To clarify, I am talking about the custom fields available when you view a fund record in RENXT. This is a critical component to our reporting from Raiser's Edge, yet it is not available for use in Sky Reporting.

    I believe they are working on it... not even sure if it's in the Roadmap.  Lots of people have requested it. 


    When we moved to RE NXT a few months ago we learned the hard way that attributes are essentially ignored in NXT reporting.  We ended up moving some data from Fund and Appeal Attributes into the "Category" and "Type" fields so that we could use them.

    Please vote for this topic in the 'Ideas' category. I don't know how many of you are currently using the insight designer, but the designer appears to be the reporting tool that will be available in RENXT. From the viewpoint of a data base administrator and SQL report developer, this is the communities chance to provide input/feedback to improve this tool. This is relevant to anyone who lost a volume of reporting abilities after migrating to raiser's edge.     The programmers at blackbaud have made a really good start on this.

    Hi, all.


    This is Blake with the products team at Blackbaud. So glad to see this great thread! The short answer is "Yes, our team is working on this." 


    As a former customer, I couldn't live without fund attributes, so naturally I've noticed that they are missing. We have begun some planning for how to tackle, and would love continued feedback in the idea bank. I'd love to hear if it's specific attributes (like for funds) and how they are used in your reporting needs.


    For those interested, we are looking into which records' attributes to start with (Campaign or Fund or Gift or Constituent, etc). We also have some considerations on the types of attributes (code tables, numbers, text, yes/no, etc.) I am glad to see continued confirmation that this is valuable. We are currently discussing the best approach to provide some incremental progress on this reporting need.

    Is it too early for a proposed timeline, or will the roll out be announced some other way?


    It is great news, and I am happy that the feature will be available in the future!

    It's too early for a timeline that's stable enough to stand behind, but I'll be sure to share updates on the ideas as we make progress in planning and delivery.

    Is there an update on this topic? Having access to attributes (especially under Funds!) would be a huge benefit...

    It's been about 9 months.  Has the work you discussed by Development team on this item still in progress or is it been put on hold for other priorities, etc?

    I know this is important to many users, but I don't have any timelines to share.


    I realize that we have had this on the back burner for a while, and I wish I could share a timeline or helpful info. For now this is something that we have not been able to take on.

    I checked the idea bank for SKY Reporting and didn't see anything there.  Not a lot of activity in general, but this is a great place to post the ideas and then rally support!
