Please add eCard option to OLX or add an email field to Tribute notifications

We recently moved from NetCommunity to OLX and losing the eCard option for memorial gift notifications has drastically increased our workload and mailing costs not to mention the waste of paper and envelopes. Could you please let us know if this option will be added to an update or if there is an easy workaround. It would at least be helpful if you could add an email field to the "Notify this person..." area under tribute donations. Currently, we cannot even manually generate an email notification since this detail is left off the form.

    We figured out a partial workaround for eCards using our old NetCommunity software which we can still access. Since NetCommunity gives us the option of allowing individuals to send eCards without making a donation (via a dedicated URL) we embedded this URL into the text of the Online Express donation receipt and added some text to the body of the recipt to let the donor know they can click on the link to send an eCard notification of their donation to an individual or family. The major downside to this is that there is no way to know if the donor actually sends an eCard so we still have to use snail mail to send requested notifications for tribute donations. Still wasting paper, stamps and time but at least the donor has a quick way to let the individual or family know that a donation has been made in their honor or in memory of a loved one.

    I'm looking for this feature to be added as well--we don't get a ton of tribute gifts, but the process of sending a notification to the tribute is a time-consuming step in the current OLX. I'd love an eCard or email notification option!

    I'm baffled as to why email notifs or eCards are not built into OLX. Before we moved to BBMS, our website automatically emailed tribute notifs to the email the donor specified.


    Now, we have to generate a letter for even the least of the tributes. And, we have MOSTLY tributes. The whole point of online donations is to make it paperless!

    Thanks for the feedback Wanda Kelsey‍ If you haven't already, I'd encourage you to vote for this idea. This link will take you to the ideas page on the community, then if you paste BBOX-I-167 into the search box, you'll see the suggestion to add e-Card functionality to OLX.


    While we don't currently have plans to add e-Cards to OLX, the ranked list of ideas is definitely informing prioritization of features in next-gen capabilities that are coming natively to RENXT.
