Global Deleting Constituents using Import tool in LO

Options
We have identified a large number of LO constituents that we would like to globally delete. I believe there is a way to do this with LO's Import/Export function. Does anyone know what field we would use to indicate to remove that constituent? I was looking for a field to indicate the constituents status of "active" vs. "removed", but I can't find it. Any help would be appreciated. thank you!

  • Terilyn, do not believe that is possible.  We always create an LO Group (can also be created by importing their constituent IDs into a group) then logging a ticket with BB to inactivate/remove all constituents contained within that group.  BB runs this overnight and when I come in the next day they are all removed/inactivated.
  • Good to know. Thanks, Dennis!
  • Hi, Terilyn,

Yep! If you do an import with a column in the .csv for "Active Status"... you can set that value to 2. That will toggle all of those records to "Removed" status in Cons 360. So, all you really need is a 2 column spreadsheet:  CONS_ID & ACTIVE_STATUS (set to 2)

Hope that points you in the right direction!

    Thanks,

  • Jon, thanks for the info – I just learned
    something!!

  • Sure thing, Dennis! However, I do believe you need to go your route if you ever want to recover them and flip the status back to Active. Blackbaud has to do that. I'm pretty sure an import w/ ACTIVE_STATUS set back to 1 won't do the trick. - Jon
