Please review my online donation page for processing the way I think it will...

Options
Hi everyone,

We're new to OLX and I've set up my first online donation form to collect employee committments for payroll deductions.

I'm using the Bill Me Later functionality, and hoping it will work like what I'm imagine.....What I think will happen is that we'll get an email for "billing for later" that we can then use to setup that employee for payroll deduction with Payroll.

Here's the link:  https://shhfoundation.org/ways-to-give/team-member-giving/payroll-deduction-gift/

My specific questions:

Will I be able to tell in the email (or the gift somehow?) the difference between my $10 one time and $10 per pay period buttons?

Will the email state that it's for Bill Me Later?

Will the email show the attributes (work location, employee ID) also or will they just be in the gift in RE?

Do these gifts come through the regular gift processing area?  Do they come through as pledges?

Thank you!

  • Hey Heather! We had to maneuver around some OLX form options for our payroll deduction too. When we receive the copy of the donation confirmation, it looks like this:

    Supporter:

    Email Address:

    Gift Date:

Amount: (the amount to come out each pay)

    Payment: Bill Me Later

When we send to batch, it does process as a pledge. We have three signs it's payroll deduct. 1) The form name is Employee Campaign, PRD. That appears in the subject line of the email.

    2) The "Bill Me Later" payment message in the email. 3) It appears as a pledge in batch before processing. Does that make sense?
  • Thanks for the good info, KaLeigh Hurley‍.
