Donation Form Goal Bar - How to get started

Options
Hello! Every year for Giving Tuesday, we create a goal bar or progress bar to embed right on our website's donation form as a way to encourage donors to give during the 24 hours. As a Luminate Online newbie, I have no idea where to start in creating one. The goal bar would need to be embedded on the donation form itself. It would also be pulling gifts coming in from that specific donation form to show the progress towards the goal. Any recommendations on where to start?

    1. Make sure your entered a Fundraising Goal to the donation campaign that contains your form.
    2. From your donation form screens, edit your Donation Form and add the following tag to a HTML Caption element

    [[E337:donations_campaign:[[E120:dc:campaignId]]:0:0:[[E130:"[[E15:[[S120:dc:campaignId]]:goal_formatted]]" number]]:23:#000000]]
"23" value above is for a predefined progress meter. You can use any of the available meters under Constituent360 > Social Media > Progress Meters tab - or - you can create your new one and use it.
  • Romany, this is super helpful - thank you!

Are you aware of any ways to make the progress meter larger? Or would that have to be done by creating a whole new one?

    Thanks!

  • Yes, it is better you create a new one.
  • Thank you Romany!

One final question - how do I know what progress meter I'm coding into the donation form? I'm randomly plugging in numbers & then previewing the form to see what progress meter shows.

    Thanks!

  • Either by hovering your mouse on "Copy" link to see "progress_id" parameter in browser's bottom status bar - or - click "Copy" link to and get it from the address bar.
